COCKPITNEWS
Editorial and Corrections Policy
How CockpitNews verifies, attributes, updates and corrects aviation coverage.
Accuracy and verification
We seek confirmation from primary documents, regulators, operators, manufacturers or directly accountable sources. Reports should separate verified facts from analysis and clearly label uncertainty.
Attribution and independence
Sources are credited and linked where practical. CockpitNews rewrites source material in its own words and does not present press releases or automated output as original reporting. Advertising is labelled and kept separate from editorial decisions.
Corrections and updates
Substantive corrections are added to the article with an explanatory note and updated timestamp. Minor spelling or formatting changes may be corrected without a note. Readers can report errors through our contact page.
Automation and AI
Automation may identify developments or prepare drafts, but automated material must remain subject to editorial review before publication. AI-generated illustrations must be labelled and must not be presented as documentary images of real events.
